If you ate pasta and antipasto, would you still be hungry?
Reserving your spot on a Tasty Morsel Culinary Excursion: To check availability on one of our tours, please contact us via the form on our contact page or by e-mail. Provide your name, the name of the tour you are interested in taking, the date you wish to take the tour (also include any alternate dates that may work for you), number of people in your party, your email address and your phone number. After confirming availability, we will forward you a reservation number and instructions on how to make your payment via a secure paypal transaction.
Do I have to reserve my spot in advance?
It is strongly recommended that you reserve your spot in advance. The tours are designed for small groups and may fill up.
How much food will I get on the tour? Should I eat before it or make plans to eat after?
Both tours will provide many food samples. On full day tours, you may want to consider having a late dinner, or late night snack because you will probably not be hungry at the usual 6 or 7 o’clock dinner time. If you are a regular breakfast eater, you may want to have something light on the morning of the tour – just so you can make it until 10:30 a.m. without feeling drained.
Will we get beverages on the tour?
The tour does make stops where you can sample some local libations. However, if you’d like, you can bring additional bottled beverages (like water or soda) with you. Containers with secure lids only, please.
What if it rains or snows on the day of my excursion?
Tasty Morsel excursions run rain, snow, or shine, so please be prepared with an umbrella and appropriate outerwear for the conditions on that day. The only exception is if the weather would make the tour potentially dangerous to run. In this case, you may reschedule for another date or receive a refund.
Do you grant a refund if I need to cancel my reservation?
You may request a refund if you cancel your reservation 1 week prior to your scheduled tour date. Depending on availability, you may also be able to change your reservation to another day. You can also transfer your reservation to someone else who will take your place on the tour. However, with any of these options, you must notify us in advance of the change.
Can you accommodate my dietary restrictions/food allergies?
Please let us know when making your reservation if you have any special needs regarding food. We will certainly do our best to communicate your restrictions to the merchants we visit. We cannot, however, guarantee that the merchants will all be able to meet those requirements. Once on tour, it is your responsibility to monitor what you ingest. If you are unsure about sampling an item, please be sure to ask the vendor.
What about physical restrictions? Can you accommodate wheelchairs on the tour?
For the walking tour, you should be able to walk for the duration of the tour. The full day tour is a riding tour but may require a short amount of walking at a few stops. Unfortunately, we are currently unable to handle wheelchairs on the Tasty Morsel van. To participate in the tour, you must be able to board and exit a standard van. If special seating (front seat passenger or seat by the door) is desirable, please request this at time of checking availability. We will do our best to find a day that seat(s) is available.
